you might be buying a new transmission.

Well before you decide to tare into the trans, there is a couple of things you could check start with the easy things first.Start the car, And with it in Park check the Trans oil. If it is at the full mark, The next thing I would check or Have checked would be the trans Filter. It is inside the Trans oil Pan. If you Have not had it changed I would change it . to see if that fixes the problem

ita ford im not dogging em but they have issue with the automatic transmissions i drive a 2000 windstar for work and the trans went out at about 130000 my boss paid like 2 grand to get it redone if you have a hook up you may be able to get it done cheaper.

Sounds like you've got a serious transmission problem. This is likely going to be a costly repair -- if your car is in poor shape or its value is less than the cost of a replacement/rebuild it may be better to just buy or lease a new car.

Rebuild the trans.

Your tranny is gone ,your going to have to replace it or have it rebuilt,there no way around it.
