Well giving that i am 11 years younger than my fiance, though i met him when i was 18, id say no.. but that depends on how mature the 16 year old is and how responsible the 23 year old is.. knowing that he/she cannot go to any venues that are for 18's ie... pubs bars, clubs,
though there are other things that you can do together dvds cinema restaurants.
i have to say i am a mother of 2 and if my little girl was dating a 23 year old man i would not be very happy, but then no parent will ever be happy of there little girl growing up.
Just be care-full if this is you...! you don't want to grow up to fast .. i did and i wish i had just been a teenager for a bit longer.
all the best

Well I've seen some 23 year olds with the mentality of 16 year olds and vice versa. I'm not sure if that makes it socially acceptable but it depends on the situation.

I dont see anything wrong with it to be honest. As long as one side isn't taking advantage of the other. There is nothing immoral implied here
In many countries, 16 is the age of consent, so even a sexual relationship would be legal.

I think it would be fine... as long as the 23 year old likes you for you, not just because of your age.
Because if the 23 year old is dating you just because he has a thing for "younger" boys, then yes that is a little weird.

No. Legally you are a minor and a relationship often connotes (and/or constitutes) sexual activity, so don't think you're bullsh*tting anybody.
That's plain disgusting: I'm sure there's plenty of pretty boys in your, what, sophomore class that want you; pick one of them. Any man who's 23 and still hitting on girls as young as you is a pervert.

Actually is not paedophilia, it's Ephebophilia, sexual urges for teenagers and adolescents.
Still sick though.
For you as a 16 y/o to like a 23 y/o is normal. For him to like you is not.

I don't see how it would be unacceptable or strange personally
