Try this. The numbers are the fingers and the / means to shift up and the \ means to shift down. The | is the break between octaves.

    Begin on the G.

    01234123|412/1234|123/1234

    4321\321|4321\214|32143210

    I hope this helps =0]

Talk to your teacher about adjusting your bridge. If you're not getting any sound, it's possible there's too much tension on the string for it to vibrate. Or maybe there's something you can do with your bow to get a better grab on the string. Most of all, don't let one note in 2 scales get you too nervous to audition. Do your best and make everything else sound great. The overall performance should outweigh a single note that's giving you issues, especially when it's an equipment issue, not a musicianship issue. Good Luck!

Good answers here, but if it's not an equipment issue, nor one of proper position, it is possible as well that you just need more practice with the interaction between fingers four and five. I suggest this from experience as I've recently started using my pinky more. The improvement from practice alone is amazing. Just work on getting a bit more strength in that movement. Just to be sure though, I'd get that bridge checked out as well. Good luck! Kabum
