Do I have to register for Boxing Hall of Fame?

I've been anticipating for a very long time now to attend the Boxing Hall of Fame which takes place every year in Canstosa NY.

I'm just wondering if I have to register before attending or could I just head down there in June and pay admission once I arrive?

BTW anybody else attending that great long weekend at Boxing Hall of Fame?

I haven't missed an Induction weekend since 1998, when Matthew Saad Muhammad and Miguel Canto were inducted. It's truly the highlight of my year. . . .

With a name as big as Lennox Lewis being inducted this year, I wouldn't expect much luck strolling into town and buying tickets to the events. Having said that, what do you want to do once you're there? Walking the beautiful grounds are totally free. Viewing the archives of the Hall are a five dollar admission (payable at the door). A seat at the Induction Ceremony on Sunday is ten bucks (get it in advance), but standing room is free. Good weather ensures that there are no obstructed views.

Plus, there are great events that we attend every year. Definitely call a month or two ahead to reserve tickets to the bigger events. If you're into scoring autographs, don't miss the Saturday night VIP GALA event, held at the Greystone. It's an hour in a relatively small room with about forty champions and boxing dignitaries, all holding Sharpie markers, ready to grace your item with their personal signatures. Last year, within ten feet, I was standing near Ed "Too Tall" Jones, Gerry Cooney, Bert Sugar, Ron Lyle, Hector Camacho, and Emmanuel Steward. It blows my mind each and every year.

I hope you make it there. . . . stop into Graziano's across the street for killer pizza. . . we broadcast live from this Italian gem on the Thursday of the weekend. Hope to see you. . . . .

I think it's free to watch the induction, but it's going to be packed and it might not be a bad idea to get a seat in advance. Then again, I haven't actually been there myself, so I'm not completely sure. This is just what I've heard.

The Hall of Fame website has other information on what you can register for and the goings on:
