Why isnt my wii turning on?

i just got it at christmas. used it only a few times.

    My WII has frozen up a few times (we got it last May). If you unplug the WII from the power source (either out of the wall, or remove the power cord from the back of the unit), wait one minute so the system fully resets and then plug it back in it magically reboots.

    I don't know what is wrong with yours, but give this a try...it worked 3 times for me.

    it should still be working, it mmight have been left on too long, look in the manuel or call nintendo customer service
