Chemical or Physical Reaction?

Copper is reduced by Al which is oxidized. Metal Al becomes Al ion, and Copper ion becomes copper metal. or

copper chloride a compound is reduced to copper the element. Etc. This is a chemical change with identity changes.

A physical change is more along the lines of ice melting to become liquid water. Solid becomes liquid, but both are forms of water - no identity change
