I clean small offices and love it. Check with your city or county clerk's office about the need for a license. Where I am, a fictitous business name is all you need-you usually get the forms and register those at the clerk's office, too. They don't cost much and last 2-3 years.. Some places may be different. Oh, and you don't need a re-sellers license.
I have lots mire information, resources and tips on my Squidoo lens and blog. Links are in my Profile.

Go to your county clerk recorder office and ask where you file a "dba or doing business as". You can find your clerk recorder office by doing a google search of the words " county clerk recorder "and the name of your county, for example "orange county clerk recorder"

If in the city: city hall
If in county area: the county seat courthouse.
By the way, you may have to have registration and license for each city/locale you plan to do business in.
