Best free firewall would be :

    ♣ Comodo Internet Security 3.5

♣ PC Tools Firewall Plus 5.0

♣ Online Armor Personal Firewall 3.0

    ♣ ZoneAlarm Free

Pick your own. This highly trusted source for firewalls : http://www.matousec.com/projects/firewall-challeng...

Baaba 0 - yea and do what ? Lol at ourselves with more than half programs not working ? Spend time searching programs that will actually work in Linux ? Stop "raping" people with Linux... seriously. Thats not just towards you.

    Hope it helped.

There's four excellent free firewalls, better than most you can buy: Comodo, PCTools, OnlineArmor, NetChina. See:

    http://www.matousec.com/projects/firewall-challeng...

Comodo is the most well-known but many people find it a pain in the butt to use. OnlineArmor is quite user-friendly.

If you choose Comodo beware that they bundle their AV with it, best not to install that as you've probably got one already and theirs hasn't been reliably tested.

ZoneAlarm free firewall is so poor it no longer gets tested, likewise the Windows firewall.

    Comodo Internet Security

Award-Winning Firewall + AntiVirus Suite for FREE :http://personalfirewall.comodo.com/index...

For your firewall what I recommend is using one of these.Pc tools Firewall plus or Zonealarm Firewall.

Get keyscrambler personal to protect against keyloggers.

KeyScrambler Personal is a free plug-in for your Web browser that protects everything you type from keyloggers.

It defeats keyloggers by encrypting your keystrokes at the keyboard driver level, deep within the operating system. When the encrypted keystrokes reach your browser, KeyScrambler then decrypts them so you see exactly the keys you've typed. Keyloggers can only record the encrypted keys, which are completely indecipherable. Unlike anti-virus and anti-spyware programs that depend on recognition to remove keyloggers that they know about, KeyScrambler will protect you from both known and unknown keyloggers. What's more, KeyScrambler provides protection without getting in your way. You don't have anything to learn about the program and you don't have to do anything differently, but with KeyScrambler your important personal information will be a whole lot safer.

If you want personalized, reliable and quick advice, you should check out the ProCompare website (GOOGLE Procompare). They have a recommendation engine that ranks firewalls based on ratings and reviews from a community of trusted IT professionals. They also have an effective personalization slider that lets you personalize the results based on the criteria that are most important to YOU.

    I use

Comodo and ZoneAlarm ( on different PC's)

I prefer Comodo although a lot of people hate the amount of pop-ups you get when you first configure it ...but it is worth it
