Sooo I got my belly button pierced about 2 months ago...?

I know it's not completely healed yet. But i was looking at it the other day and I noticed around the bottom ball that it looks like the skin is being pushed back a little bit. Like a crater and it's caving in around the bottom. There's a little bit of puss around it.

I'm cleaning it regularly. Is that normal? Will it be ok? Do i need to take it out, did anyone else's do that? What should I do?

Update:

It is a little red but it isn't really sore at all. I'm not sleeping on my stomach or anything. Occasionally I pull it a little bit when i put my shirt or backpack on or something like that, but not often.

The "puss" is probably not really puss. It's probably just your body getting rid of dead cells as part of the healing process.

It sounds like you have a curved barbell in. I would go back to the piercer and ask them to put a ring in instead. It will allow to easier cleaning, and should take care of any "pushing" on the skin.

Navel piercings are tricky for some people. Your best bet is to go ask your piercer.

Don't take it out. Unless the "puss" coming out of it is green and smells bad it's not infected. Light white secreation around a healing newly piercered area (less than a year) is called lymph. It would be more of a concern if your body wasn't having this type of normal healing reaction. If you are really concerned about it, go speak to your piercer.

Is the area around it red, is it sore?

You should call the studio that pierced it and ask for their opinion. They might ask that you come in so they can see it in person though you probably won't and shouldn't be charged for it.

A little puss is normal for any piercing. I wouldn't suggest taking it out unless your piercer suggests it.

that might be because its a little infected thats okay my right nipple had an infection but it was because i was tugging on it a lot sleeping on it not following the rules. i called the peircing place i ended up going in for them to look at it though.

if u wash your body with a body wash your peircing might be affected by it or by the type of ring u have in u. I had to have a certain silver in my nipple i forgot exactly but it was a metallic silver expensive but it helped me with the infection

Dont take it out it will seal up fast! Dont make the same mistake i did. My peircing was hurting I took it out for only 3-4 hrs I was going to put the thing back in and the hole was sealed

No one can say what it if for sure on here so i would go back to place you had it done and ask them whether you should see a doctor or just take it out or whether its fine or not. I'm sure they will know. Good luck :).
