You can do a simple search on Google, which turns up thousands of websites.

Most of them charge a lot of money, so I would use the Resume tools on Microsoft Word as starting point.

I also found some great resources at my public library and if you are in college the career centers on campus can give you some good structural advice.

The basic resume structure is Name, Objective or goal, Work experience, Skills. Lots of variations on that theme but most restaurants are not going to as vigorously examine your resume as other places would.

I personally like to talk directly to the applicant and that conversation and discussion OF his resume means more to me than the actual appearance of his resume. Lots of people can make pretty resumes, but the actual content is what matters.

Since no one is hiring, this is a time to experiment with your resume. Don't do the exact same thing as thousands of others. Write your resume as if it were a letter to a friend that you have not seen in many years. Tell about you and your family and your hobbies and your interests.

You can get sample resumes at monster.com and careerbuilder.com (i don't work for them)..
