Aren't just a sweet heart. it is nice to hear that you empathize with your girlfriends pain. She needs for you to be supportive and thoughtful. Periods can be very uncomfortable. Offer her tylenol or motrin. Some times a heating pad on her abdomen can help. hold her tight and reasure her.
