When an SBD Dauntless flew as a scout plane from a carrier in WWII did it carry a bomb load of any type?

The model of SBD is not a concern, but early war practice is of the most interest.

Usually it carried a pair of 500 lb. bombs on the wings or a torpedo in the bomb bay.

It was a scout bomber. It could fly scout missions, bombing missions or scout missions with a load to attack targets of opportunity.

And no, it did not carry a torpedo.
