Okay...from Beijing make your way up to Vlavivostok.
From there you can take the Trans-Siberian Railway to Taishet in Eastern Siberia (west side of Lake Baikal). From there the preferred option would be the Baikal-Amur Mainline (BAM) to Moscow!

This is a really exciting trip! It's been almost 20 years since I have taken the Trans-Siberian, but I would do it again in a heartbeat!
I traveled from Beijing to Moscow via the Manchurian route and returned to Beijing via the Mongolian route. Both of these were in wintertime and both trips were absolutely gorgeous!
I traveled the Manchurian route again from Beijing to Moscow in the summer and the scenery was equally fascinating.
From Moscow, I took a train down to Frankfurt (via Berlin) and then flew to the States from Frankfurt.
I made my travel arrangements with the help of friends, however, this website is probably the one that can answer most of your questions:

They seem very well informed and up-to-date on what's needed.
Enjoy!

you'll of course take the trans siberian railway to moscow. when going to london from moscow, you might want to go around belarus b/c it'll cost $30 since they require a transit visa. also costs extra time. depends if you wanna see belarus from the train window.
ps- watch the movie "trans siberian." it's a great movie that will get you hyped up for your trip.
