Cleveland/LeBron James fans?!?

Let me have an honest opinion from you.

For the record, I'm a Bucks fan, so don't slam me about being a bandwagoner or w/e.

There is much debate as to whether James or Wade is the MVP this year. Both are highly deserving, but as the saying goes "There can only be 1".

My question is this:

The main arguement against Wade is his team's record, while James' is #1 in the League. If Wade was in the 50 win club with James, would he get the nod for MVP?

Just want an honest opinion.

Update:

dylan s:

Wade has taken over so many games this year, including against Utah, New York, Chicago, Detroit just yesterday, etc. And those are just the ones I saw on tv!

If there was a co-mvp present they should be the ones. LeBron would get it because he stepped his defense game into elite status this year but so has wade. Hes shooting almost 50% from the field and so has dwade. Mvp stands for most valuabe player on ones team and if you take away both players from their respective teams then that team would struggle severely. So it all comes down to LeBron jus because of his team stats and wins

Well I think it's not just a matter of statistics but mostly on how a person contributes to the team's success and how one leads the team not only in scoring or rebounding or in assists but most importantly how one encourages his teammates to give out their best through trust and support and all that and I think LeBron got these more than Wade does.

If Wade gets the MVP, Lebron should get it for 2 years ago when he took a CRAPPY team to the finals on his back.

Team record DOES matter to voters, and LeBron will win it.

    I'm a Kobe/Lakers fan.

If Wade had a top team record he'd win the MVP, statistically Wae had been better than Lebron and Kobe in every category except rebounds. he 2nd in steals, 1st in scoring.

Wade also had less supporting cast now, remember when he had a good supporting cast? he won a championship. that's how good wade is.

I think I would still go with LBJ,

The one reason why I believe he should still get it is what he is doing for his team. Wade is doing a lot for his team and playing tremendously but LBJ is leading his team in all of these stats just looks

    Wade team stats

    Scoring Dwyane Wade 30.0

    Rebounds Udonis Haslem 8.3

    Assists Dwyane Wade 7.6

    FG% Udonis Haslem 50.9

    FT% Michael Beasley 77.8

    3PT% Chris Quinn 39.8

    Blocks Joel Anthony 1.4

    Steals Dwyane Wade 2.2

    Complete Team Statistics

    LBJ team stats

    Scoring LeBron James 28.6

    Rebounds LeBron James 7.6

    Assists LeBron James 7.3

    FG% Zydrunas Ilgauskas 48.8

    FT% Mo Williams 92.6

    3PT% Mo Williams 43.6

    Blocks LeBron James 1.3

    Steals LeBron James 1.8

    Complete Team Statistics

In my opinion LBJ is leading his team more than Wade is leading his team and people argue if you took wade out of the lineup they would totally suck and that might be true But last year when LBJ was out those 6 or 7 game in a row the Cavs did not win a game. I realize they have Mo this year.

I am not taking anything from Wade and If he got the award I would be happy for him but I think when you look at the whole year and not just after the allstar break LBJ been the more consistant player throughout the year and not just after the all star break.

We can play the IF game all day....

The reality is that Miami is a mediocre team even with D-Wade playing lights out all season long.

LeBron single-handedly took an equally mediocre team to the NBA Finals. (His supporting cast blew that year and everyone knew it. 28win season if lebron wasn't there)

LeBron will still take it.He's working hard all season adn should get the award because they took that from him just like Wade won't have the award but still LeBron James for MVP

Statistic wise its wade , he leads lebron to almost evry stat except for rebounds

I doubt it. Just look at the statistics, and nobody can take over a game in crunch time like LeBron, not even Wade.

  • Wade deserves it, but because his team isnt as great as it once was I think he may be overlooked. This is his true breakout year.
