Politicians lie to obtain office, since there is financial consideration, why isn't this considered fraud?

    It's not fraud because there is no direct, provable lie involved. If a person were to for instance claim that they were a doctor when they were not, that would be fraud. A politician saying they will do x is not the same thing. You'd have to prove direct falsehoods, knowingly uttered, and also prove direct damage caused by this.

  • Every one knows they are lies but- a Politician will say "Hey I Tried but it just didn't fly".

    Their are 2 problems here

    #1 People actually believe the lies without knowing the facts thinking these people are actually good at heart.

    #2 when the Politicians get called out for the lies we let them slide on screwing the public over, but hey He's GAY lets string him up! (STUPID)

    IF WE HAD SOME IMPEACHMENTS OR NO CONFIDENCE VOTES WOULDN'T THAT WAKE THE LIARS UP? (YES)

    OH WE DON'T WANT TO DO THAT. LETS JUST VOTE HIM OUT IN THE NEXT ELECTION AND PICK A BETTER LIAR.
