Berlitz is much cheaper and pretty much gets the job done. I think Rosetta Stone is extremely overrated and if you have to pay that much then why not just take a spanish class at the local community college.

Well i used it FREE from the library system but it will not let you use it anymore. Or if you know anybody who will not charge u that's a good way! or get some books but Rosetta stone did not help me but it may help u.

but make sure u see if they have if free before you buy it.

    Short answer: NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Longer answer: Rosetta Stone is quite expensive - they make you buy three separate boxes to go from Beginner to Advanced, and you only get less than 200 hours of learning in all three boxes combined. Much better is TELL ME MORE language software, they give you 2,000 hours of language software and you only have to buy a single box. Plus they cover grammar and culture - things over-priced Rosetta Stone doesn't even touch!!

Here's their site for you. Definitely go check them out:

I am interested in the same question; thanks for asking it. My daughter would like to learn Spanish and sign language. I keep hearing about the Rosetta Stone line, but wonder the same thing...

i shouldn't be doing this: but try downloading it, from a P2P, a trusted one, perhaps utorrent using demonoid.com. that way, if it isn't worth it, you won't have spent money. worries about adware/viruses can be assuaged by user comments-usually if there is such dangers, they are mentioned in the comment section.

  • Yesss! I have it and it is amazing. It's as if you are a baby again learning your first language.
