Nissan Murano electric driver seat will not move forward?

The driver's seat on my 2006 Nissan Murano will only move on one side. It has different settings for 2 different drivers - when it goes to adjust only the left side will move - it sounds like it is in a bind on the right side - I've looked under the seat and there isn't anything jamming the track - can anyone help?

I'd be willing to be something small like a coin has slipped into the track. You wont be able to see this just by looking under the seat, you will have to unbolt the seat and then remove the track from the seat.

Same thing happened with my Maxima.. a dime was the culprit.

I just repaired my 2005 driver's seat. I found a gear in the track assembly was broken. It was very hard to see the problem but on close examination there was one tooth that had been twisted out of shape. Got a replacement from onlinewholesaleparts.com

Two gears cost $33. I only needed one but I didn't want to take a chance.

There are some videos on the web for removing the seat, etc. but it is very easy and you don't have to dissemble the seat like some of the videos show.

You may need to change out a fuse. Look for the fuse box and see if there are any fuses that are connected to that seat.

I have the exact same problem and was wondering if you ever had it fixed? If so do you know what it was?
