If he does it quite frequently, then yes it is harassment. My advice would be, if he/she continues to do this, contact human resources. You are an employee, and you should not have to go through this harassment at all. make sure you write everything down from the day that it happened, the time, what was said, who was present, etc. Keep this at home, so no one at work will know that you are doing this.

Are you the only employee he/she does this to? what do the others say to you after he/she is done yelling at you?

Never, but if the pay and benifits are great i may just take it. right now i work some place where my sups and managers are just amazingly friendly. its very scary sometimes, even when they are disaplining you about something you did wrong, they are pretty cool about it and they try to help you fix the problems.

as long as no one is touching you inappropriately (sexually and hitting). there is pretty much not alot you can do. chances are good that a law suite will go no where.

IF you can watch it, check out hell's kitchen with Gordon Ramsey. that guy sure knows how to turn a very good chef into a blubbering mess in the kitchen. but if you can take it you will be successful. if you cant take it, find something else to do or some where else to go.

You can always try talking to the boss and telling him/her that they are being a huge prick, lol. if you are not afraid to loose your job, that is.

abuse of power usually has to do with threatening you or force you to do something that is illegal or harmful to you or others in anyway. what ever requests that a boss makes of you it must be reasonable, with in your abilities and legal.

You also have the power to refuse if you want. again, you can always try doing something else. you dont have to take abuse from anyone.

You dont have to take abuse for no body. try being your own boss. check out my blog. its in my profile. i list some income generating opps online.

    good luck to you.
