Another AIG bonsus question?
Is there anyone else out there still outraged about this bonuses bailout? Here's my problem, 20 out of the 25 US executives gave theirs back, but the American people paid this bonuses to overseas exec's as well. Let's all do the math here. We can never get any of that back. Places like London have our hard earned money. OK we messed up. We as Americans need to make a stand to insure this never happens again.

The problem is not the bonuses but the fact that we have become a socioty that believes in a bonus reguardless of if a person work preformance. The bonus is just a salary that is in the work contract and that is wrong. Bonuses were something that a person got because the did a great job to make the company better.
I get so mad when I have a dinner party and they add the tip in. A tip was not part of a persons salary or wage but rather an amount that you paid someone for great services that they gave you. I have noticed worst service when I am in a larger group and the tip is included then when it is just me and one or two others. I don't like be pushed into giving a tip when I don't get service. Tips are now expected not something that you give for great service. It is the same with bonuses. They are written into the work contract rather then added when a person does a great job. We might as well concider this a part of a persons salary and not a bonus. I think that they are using the wrong terms for this payment.
And if this is part of the contract with the employees then they should not be forced to give it back or even be taxed all of it. I don't like that they got it but the employees are not the issue. This should have been the first item cut from the budget for the company but with the employment contract written the way they are, AIG can't do anything about it legal. But they need to review their policies.
