I owned a TT Convertible 162 for a couple of years prior to my present new version TT. I enjoyed it tremendously and ,as I now have a coupe, every day the sun shines I wish I still had the convertible. It was brilliant red and it looked as good on the day I changed it as the day it came out of the showroom. Depreciation was very low, insurance quite cheap and the performance was more than sufficient for my needs. It was a lovely little car and great fun to own and drive.

OMG NO DONT DO IT!!!
I bought an 01 Audi TT Quattro w/ 62,000 miles on it.
I will never buy an Audi again unless its brand new and backed with a warranty. Overall I ended up spending about $4,000 just in minor repairs. There were still some problems with the car but couldnt afford to keep up with it so I had to sell it at a very very low price. Just be aware that the upkeep for them is verryyy expensive.
Of course I loved the look of the car, and speed of course (it was enough for me) but never again will I buy another, and I do not miss that car one bit.
Heres a website that tells a guys problems with his TT.

well if you want a older version don't bother because the drive is dull and the steering too. the suspension is very hard which makes the ride hard and tough. reliability is an issue to and the cabin isn't as much as a nice place to be as the mark 2 version. you want a TT get the mark 2 version because its rated five stars by what car. its made of aluminium too so its light and agile

Red if you're an outgoing type, black if you don't really like to stand out. Although and audi TT pretty much speaks for itself! i love the condor grey but i think black is a little slicker. The magma leather is very nice.

I saved for ages to buy my AudiiTT Quattro 3.2 Coupe and it's a fantastic car but beware of other drivers.
I've had my car purposely damaged whilst i've been parked in car parks, supermarkets/town etc. Some people take a dislike to a nice car and somehow want to damage it.
Never had any problems with the car itself.

I'd really like to go thorough all the stuff, but I apologize that I can't point out everything, even though my dad drives the new one.
All I know is that it's a charming little coupe that anybody can own and drive. Affordable price, fun to drive and compact.

I raced one before in my old 95' Camaro Z-28. There pretty quick. They have quick acceleration, but it couldn't keep up after about 5-6 seconds.
