I believe the best way is to practice. You can find someone for a language exchange here:

Right now I'm learning Dutch for the first time.
I use Pimsleur Dutch audio books when I'm driving to work. Each day is a new lesson for a total of 30 days.
When I get home, I use the Rosetta Stone software to help with my learning process. The Rosetta Stone software is much more comprehensive, but the Pimsleur method works great for casual conversation.I will easily learn Dutch in about 3 months.

I'd say the best thing to do is go there. It doesn't have to be expensive and doesn't have to be for long either. When you're in that country, it'll come back to you quicker than you think. I speak five languages fluently, but from time to time the three of them that aren't mother toungues will get rusty, and i've tried most things... the best thing is to go there; just for two weeks or so, to get that memory back, then find a language exchange partner.

rosetta stone works quite well, other than that I would have to say take classes.
