Is the a time period after you turn 21 that the driver’s license will still be considered as a valid ID?

Question

I’m turning 21 and I’m visiting my family in Florida during my birthday. I will be traveling by plane. Will my driver’s license have an extended time period were it will still be considered a valid ID because I will not be in the correct state and only can renew it on or after my birthday? Will the airport accept it?

my birthday is in 3 days and i renewed my license 3 days ago and it still expires on my 21st

look at the date it expires you have up to 90 days after that to renew

and the dmvs now do online renewals

ANY government issued picture ID is valid. Some people can't drive for various reasons, so the state will issue an ID for them. Passports are also valid IDs. Military IDs are valid. The only reason you really need a driver's license is to drive, not necessarily for an ID. Mom is misinformed.

They will not accept an expired ID as valid. YOu can renew it online at DMV before you go online.

I could be wrong, but I don't believe an expired drivers' license is a valid id.

It remains valid for ID but expired for driving. Get it renewed before you leave.

No, but you can always renew it early.

EDIT: Well, then, maybe you should get a passport, or a passport card. Those are valid at airports for identification, and they're good for ten years.

The passcard is cheaper, but you can't fly internationally with it (but you can use it as identification on domestic flights).

a license is not valid once it expires,maby bring a copy of birth certificate...

A passport is the best way to go when traveling
