As a parent you should hold a child accountable for htier actions from when they are very young. This is part of good parenting practice.
As far as tha law is concerned, when they turn 16 years old they can be charged and given a criminal record.
when my three boys were young and tried shop lifting from the local service station, my husband and I marched them up to the Police Station to get "growled at by the Police man".

It really depends on how you mean that. They should know they've done wrong no matter what age they are. The parents legally take the fall for anything they do as a minor (under 18) but they still should be held responsible somewhat, otherwise, they will just learn that someone else takes the fall for now and they can do whatever they please until they're legally responsible. That's not a good thing for them to think.

The question in the past if a child did something wrong was whether they understood what they had done was wrong. Now they don't decide upon that, and in the U.K children as young as 11 get arrested in america i think the age is 18.
hope i helped

Well a child should always be responsible for their actions. That's what parents teach them or should be teaching them.
If your talking by law what age, then your talking about the level of the crime, but generally it's 18

Legally, children are held responsible for their own actions until the age of eighteen. Before then, they are considered minors and the parents are held responsible.

I think kids when they are at a age where they know right from wrong on different things THEY should be held responcible not the parent, that is silly

legally 18 teens are not responsible but in all reality teens are always responsible for their actions no matter what. unless its something thats been done that the parents have control over.

They are responsible once at age 18, before that they are minors, parents responsibility.

i think they can be held accountable below the age of 18 for any crimes (ie would go to Juvenile etc). TBH i thought it was age 10 upwards.
