Do they make some kind of fabric spray paint, made for things like lampshades?

I just received some lampshades from the Pottery Barn, that I ordered in blue. I checked three different monitors to make sure I was ordering the right color-- and it appeared as dusky blue in all three. However upon receiving them, they are more of a sky blue, and I am stuck with them since they were on clearance. My question is, do they make some kind of spray paint made for fabrics like that on lampshades? Or would I just end up making more of a mess of this problem?

Update:

I just checked out a site called simplyspray.com, where they do mention painting lampshades. And it appears that you can purchase it at JoAnn's and Michael's. I think this might be a better option that actually dyeing it with Ritz liquid dye. (These shades are listed under 'penelope' on the potterybarnkids.com website.)

Actually you need to take two major factors into consideration: flammability (shades get hot)--so paint may be flammable, and dyeing may remove any fire retardant properties of the shades as well as the stiffness. Second, how are the shades attached to the cage? Dyeing may : cause rust, dissolve the attachment to the stretchers, and shrink the fabric. Better would be to get some new shades or get custom fabric & have someone recover the shades. Martha Stewart's site has some ideas for making shade "slip covers".

attempt the recent Krylon style spray paint. They fuse to the object being painted, so that you gained't have chipping, peeling, or scraping off of the paint. attempt to locate one in a severe gloss. If no longer, end with a sparkling suitable coat in a severe gloss. My acceptable advice for using spray paint is take a at the same time as. Spray as many coats as you want for finished coverage. do no longer attempt to get finished coverage on the first coat. think about significant drips. Take a at the same time as and do incredible skinny uniform coats, and also you should have a tremendous outcome.

I just use any spray I can find in the proper color. Lampshades do not get hot enough for there to be any problem.

At least the ones I have painted haven't caught on fire.
