1099-MISC form help!?

My sister doesn't have a job but she worked some hours in 2008 and only got a 1099-MISC form. There is no W2 form for her and I was helping her to file her tax on turbotax. I noticed that she had to file as a self-employment but as I went through the questions it asked me about the Schedule C, I didn't know what to put. For examples, the name for this business, the address of this business (do I put is as her home address?) And what do I put for the "Principal Business Code?"

I hope someone can help me get through this because my sister only has to file this MISC form..

The 1099-misc income goes on a Sch-C. Turbotax called that correctly.

If she make over $400, she also has to do Sch-SE.

Name of business: self or her name

Address of business: same or her address

Principle business code: depends what she does. If you want to just put 999999 (other), OK, but if you want to look it up, use the instructions for Sch-C http://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/i1040sc.pdf Turbotax may have it in some help file.

    Hope this helps

Page one of the 1040, Line 21. Or you could report it on Schedule C, if you have expenses related to this job. They didn't have to send you a 1099-MISC. Whether or not they send a 1099, you are still required to report the income. By the way since the amount is greater than $400, you also get to pay FICA tax on it. You report this on Schedule SE.
