I can't imagine the guilt he's probably feeling and the horror of watching someone else die. just let him know that yall are there for him no matter what and keep him included in all the fun stuff yall do. he probs wants to keep being yalls friend but trauma like that takes a long time to get over. he'll probably never forget it

Wow that's really rough. I would try to be as supportive as you can. He may need some professional help. Group therapy and a good counselor. Your friend sounds like a good person since he actually cares and is sad. I wish him and you luck.

    Support him.

Tell him that it wasn't his fault and that he needs to stop blaming himself for the man's death.

He's beating himself up over something that couldn't be prevented.

Also, help him with the jerks that go and say it was his fault.

    #1. They weren't there.

    #2. They don't matter.

    #3. They are insensitive *******.

Just help him as much as you can.

    It will be helpful.
