What do you think about BJ Upton this year? projections?
I don't have faith in him and I got booted from draft (computer) and it autopicked him for me.. I'm wanting to trade so what kind of value will he bring me?
My Team is (I know my weakness is 2B and C...
C - Bengie Molina
1B - Berkman
2B - DeRosa (I'm thinking he may do something nice this year.. but I missed the elite)
3B - Atkins (until A-Rod returns)
SS - Furcal (traded Votto for him this week - Even tho I like Votto better I needed to upgrade my INFIELD bad enough and I had 4 good 1B)
OF - Hamilton, Hart, Ludwick
UTL - Adrian Gonzalez
Bench - Upton, Arod, Cruz, Pena
Pitching -
SP - Haren, Chris Young, Jurrjens, Danks, Lilly & Meyers
RP - Wood and Hoffman

You have a very deep offensive lineup. I'd keep Upton and actually try to trade Ludwick who will not come close at all to last year's numbers so his value now is as high as it ever will be. Upton could be a 15-20 HR guy with 40-50 steals. You probably want him in your lineup to get you more stolen bases which otherwise is a bit lacking on your roster. You only have two closers, but I wouldn't panic over that as closers generally have a very high turnover rate (at least a third of them change over the course of the season) and the ones you have are fairly safe.
I would focus on your starting pitching, which after Haren is a bunch of question marks. I would try packaging Ludwick and Pena for a #2 calibur starter (i.e a John Lester, John Lackey) or trade them individually for a high upside starter (i.e. Nolasco, Scherzer etc.).

FIrst of all your catcher is the 6th best rated catcher in the game. He is a very steady hitter and is no weakness. DeRosa is a highly rated 2B. Again no weakness. Now about BJ, 44 steals with a .270+ BA is very good. He was a little off last year but he has power and can hit .300. He is 24 years old and still coming around. I don't think you want to watch him play this year knowing you let him get away. Pena is your trade bait. Atkins isn't a star but good enough til ARod gets back. I think Furcal will have very good numbers this year if he stays healthy. Ludwick scares me more than Upton. I think you need a 4th hitting OF. Not so sure that Cruz is a star yet. If you do trade Upton, get a Shields or an Oswalt. Don't take less.

I have very high hopes for B.J. Upton this season, as do a lot of scouts. He's having a bit of a setback with his current injury, but he shuold only miss the first road trip of the regular season. Other than that I think he's set for a big year judging by his spectacular playoff performance last season.
