I have a Gen.1 Ipod Touch..it didnt come w/ the app store..if i get apps on Itunes will it work on my Touch?

Question

my touch is a gen. 1 and so yeah it didn't come with the app store and it costs 10 bucks to get the app store on it so yeah i didnt want to do that and so i just went to the App store on Itunes and i downloaded some free apps...i'm grounded tho nd i dont have my touch rite now so i havent hooked it up to the computer so i jsut wana kno if i'll have to download the app store and pay 10 bucks or can i jsut do what i did???

well in order to get the apps you have to pay the ten dollars. that's wha i had to do. i tried to do it without paying ten dollars, but you need to upgrade the firmware to at least 2.0 =]] i hope i helped you out ♥

If you look at your itunes apps folder on your pc you will see that all your apps are still there. What has happened is that the apps don't run on the new 3.0 software because they are out of date. I lost a bunch of my own apps and they weren't even cracked, it turns out that I still own them but they just won't run on the new software.

Of course it will.  However, if you do buy it on iTunes, you have to hook up the iPod Touch through a USB to a computer and sync it.

this will not work.
you need to have that upgrade for the games to be installed. 
you can either buy the upgrade, or download the firmware which is not legal :)
