2000 Ford f-150 5.4L fuel rail symptom, little help?

The right side fuel rail is making a noise. tap tap tap. I can even feel it when I touch it. The other side is just fine, no tap, no noise. As a result, the motor runs like crud and keeps throwing "lean fuel right side" and "misfire no.1 cyl." codes. What's doing this? Gotta know cuz I need this truck soon and am too broke to put it into the shop.

Thx.

Update:

I thought so too. New plug, coil and injector. Problem still there.

Update 2:

Bad cat would give me misfires up and down the bank.

it's kind of normal, but if it bothers you, get a new fuel pressure regulator, that might stop it..

Sounds like the making of a faulty injector.

That is what the lean code and misfire seem to point at.
