can someone please tell me if u can eat the skin of figs and when u cook fig jam do u peel them first before u cook them

Fig skin is edible - and tasty! Do not peel or remove the stem end or bottom of the figs before you cook them because they just turn to mush.

yes you can. just be sure to pull off the stem and wash them thoroughly. my grandfather has a fig tree and i eat them with the skin on all the time. i would be careful if you bought them from the store though because they could have pesticides on them

Yes. The skin is thick, soft and flavorful. You eat it and use it in jam as well.
