Lost administrator password for mini-mac, how can I download upgrades?
When I try to download the latest OSX upgrade (I need in order to upgrade iTunes 8.1), there is a password prompt. When I enter my password, it says incorrect. How can I bypass this to allow the download of the OSX upgrade? My current version of OSX is 10.4.2. Attempts to access my keychain havebeen futile. I even tried to reboot from the disc but all I was able to accomplish was changing my logon password. Please help!! Where I live, there aren't any Apple Stores (third world country)

You can reset the password by booting into single-user mode:

You should be able to change your administrator password from the disc. I had the same problem from different circumstances. I don't remember the steps, however look through your discs and you should find that option. You could also e-mail or call Apple support for assistance with this problem.
