What do you know about forgiveness?
I'm finding that I have a lot of people from my past that I need to forgive. Have you done it? It must be a relief to stop feeling angry!

Yes, it's a great weight off your shoulders!
It's not "about them" -- it's about you deciding to let go of the past. It doesn't mean that it's "okay"; it doesn't mean that what they did wasn't wrong. But, it means that you stop emotionally gnawing away at something that you can't change.
I've never regretted making amends. It's good for the soul. And, it's good for the other person, too. Sometimes, forgiveness touches the heart like nothing else.

In order to forgive someone, you have to forgive yourself for holding any underlying grudge first. By feeling resent about something, you are only making yourself suffer. Also, you must turn around a situation and distance yourself from negative thoughts that prevent forgiveness. Let go of whatever grief you are feeling and accept the wrongdoing of the person you're dealing with. We are all human and the human race is certainly not perfect. Allow yourself to move forward.

Its essential for your own healing. Choose to forgive them and then let it go. It really is that simple.
