Can i leave my charger in my phone/laptop even though it's been fully charged?
Will this take away more battery life?
The reason for this is because i hate having to plug the charger in my computer all the time when the battery's dead so i just leave it in...
Is this okay?
My phone's an LG Secret and my Laptop's a Macbook Pro

yes you can but only for a short while other wise you battery will lose some of its life
for macs you can leave it in and work on it for 2 hours after it's fully charged and then you should pull the charger out
for your phone you should take it out immediately because when it's fully charged it will say "remove to save energy" (I also have an LG secret)

Lithium based batteries (used in most modern electronic devices like mobile phones, laptops, PDAs and just about everything) have a protection circuit, built into the battery iteslf, that disconnects the battery when the voltage reaches a certain level.
So check if the battery is lithium based.
The other advantage of lithium batteries, is they have no "memory effect" you can charge them repeatedly, without needing to drain them to empty before charging.

Yes. Once the battery is charged, the charger provides all the power and stops charging the battery.

Yes - these days most rechargers are 'intelligent' meaning they adjust according to the charge in the battery. This is not always the case for cheap items, but you can feel safe with laptops and phones as they're big-ticket, highly mass produced items :)

Yes, it will effect the battery life, but not to any high level.
If you download iTattle, it will tell you how much charge your computer battery will hold, how much it has left, and how much it has done before.
Don't worry so much. I almost always have my computer plugged in and mine is an iBook Late '04, so it's worse quality than yours.
Good luck!
