ipod software installation error (-30)?
My first generation ipod touch needs a software update (2.2.1) and it will not load due to the error code shown - can anyone assist in rectifying this?

What kinds of solutions have you tried??? Did you try reinstalling tho os?? If no, then do it. and delete all previous installations.. iI make a backup of important files and folders like my document and then format C:\ and do a fresh installation of the os. It works most of the times. If this didn't work, then reset the BIOS and CMOS by shorting the ends on the motherboard.
