Okay. That being said, Frostwire is just as bad, MP3 rocket has loads of viruses, bitcomet doesn't work very well, and utorrent is probably the worst of the above mentioned.

Limewire contains lots of virus filled files, even though it itself isn't a virus. And it will slow down your computer.

So what to do? You probably won't like my suggestion, because it does take time and effort to get music this way.

And convert any youtube video you want. Convert the files to mp3's.

If you're gonna be doing this a lot, like I do, you might want to consider downloading Firefox and the DownloadHelper add-on. This will make converting videos faster and easier.

If you haven't already reboot and try again. If you have rebooted then go into your Proram Files and delete the Limewire folder left there from the previous version. If the problem still persists then Limewire prolly left a file in your registry. I would suggest getting some software you trust to clean Limewire out of your registry, unless you know how to do it manually. Also it is not illegal, it is only illegal if you use it to download copywritten material. It is designed to share non-copywritten material with other people. Anyone who claims it is illegal to run Limewire is either not well educated or to lazy to actually look up the facts. I have been using it since it came out and have never gotten in any kind of trouble from it.

I have an older dell and it does kinda make your computer slower so its your decision.i had it but then deleted it because it DID make my computer slower.

no limewire is bad for your cpu it will give you viruses and whatever you download there is prbly gonna be viruses in the song so no matter if you delete it afterwards its not gonna help viruses are still gonna be in the downloads and to fully erase limewire off your cpu u have to erase your hard drive its too much of a hassle in my opinion i wouldnt download limewire

i have lime wire get norton anti virus scan each file before you load it on your pc Norton's will take care of the virus if it has attachment throw away get another
