My new puppies have a burn!!!?

I just got my 2 new puppies today. They both have a burn on their head from a hundred watt light bulb. The burns are at least a week old. How should I care for these burns? Will their hair grow back?

Update:

They are short hair dashunds. She said the light bulb was for heating purposes and they touched their heads to it. It seems like a deep burn but I really can't tell how bad because of the scab. I tried to soften it up and put on silvadene that I already had. I am sure they will heal okay but I just wondered what I could do to prevent scaring and hair loss.

I agree, take them to the vet. they would know best. I would also recommend talking to their previous owners, ask them why the dogs have a burn on their heads. You should be informed on the dog's history.

Their hair may or may not grow back, it depends on if the burn scars, and what kind of dogs they are. You would not notice on a longhair, but on a short hair, the marks would be more visible.

    Good luck!

I would check with the vet. I would not recommend putting anything on the burns other than cool water.

If you paid money for these dogs, I would demand that the seller paid to have these burns looked at by the vet.
