Is it right to advertise abortion services on TV?

I am watching The Big Questions and wondered the views of YA users.

Personally i believe it is wrong. It seems to encourage people. I mean right now, you can go to your doctor, sexual health clinic, look up a nnumber in the yellow pages, talk to connexions depending on your age. I can't see that we need further advertising on television. I would think that people that had to have an abortion for peronal reasons would have already been and found out the information. I would think the majority (not all) of people contacting abortion clinics after seeing TV adverts would be the ones using it as contraceptive rather than an extremely difficult decision.

So what are your views?

Update:

I like my hairy toe! I have named it Joseph

Update 2:

nooooo poor Joseph does not desrve that sort of pain! You're so mean to my poor toe :(

Without getting into the abortion issue itself, from a strictly business point of view, it would be bad business for the TV station or network to sell advertising time to abortion clinics. Although abortion is legal, there are many groups that would protest the station and boycott the TV shows that the ads air during. They also would probably boycott other products that are advertised during the same show in an effort to put pressure on these companies to pull their ads, which results in lower advertising dollars for the TV station/networks.

i think done in the wright way and at the right time it may be ok .i am not quiet sure if it will solve teenage pregnancies.I think they would be better getting the government to ensure sex eduction is on the school curriculum. As i think proper eduction of youngsters would hopefully ease the problem. As at the moment it varies greatly from school to school as to what Information kids get.

Liberalism is all about encouraging sick, deviant, bottom-dwelling behavior.
