    Scam.

If anyone ever asks for your password, it's a scam. Why would Microsoft need your password? They already run the whole Hotmail system and have full access to everything. They don't need your password for anything. And it's the same with every other website ever.

Note that if there is a problem with a large and popular site like Hotmail, you will hear about it from many other people and many other websites. If the first you're hearing about it is from an email, it's a lie.

I find I am getting this sort of thing all the time with EMail. Of course it is a scam. Never ever send a password to anyone at all.

Personally I never respond to an EMail that has been sent me, even if I actually do business with them. I will respond to a reply to an EMail I have sent them and that is it. Maybe I'm a bit too paranoid, but that would only be true in the case of EMails and the internet. In all other aspects of life I am not like that at all, I really do not think that anyone or everyone is out to get me. I been living here for nearly 9 years and the Fik Tw*ts haven't worked out where I live yet. Gosh loads to worry about eh. No.

I'm only like that when it comes to EMails and Internet and I suggest you think the same way. Most will either rob you or virus you.

I made an attempt to visit the site you provided, and the results show an 'Error 404' and some description droning on about a non-existing site.

Additionally, information saying that your account is in 'danger' and needs you to type in your password sounds suspicious, quite like a typical scam to me over my experience.

Run a virus scan first to check for any virus on your computer.

But in all, I strongly recommend you NOT to risk it. Your personal information may on the line.

    SCAM.

Do NOT send them your password or you will suddenly find that you can't get onto your email, or that people all over the world are receiving spam from your email, or something along those lines.

yes it is a scam, and i know this because hotmail has told us that it will NEVER email us to ask for passwords, you will only ever have to type it in when you login, or want to change a password.

if you get any email that requests a password, then its a scam.

    i hope this helps !

    Yes it's a scam.

Yeah it's a scam. People have ways of covering up their real email adresses and making them other things. I wouldn't worry about it.

    IT IS A SCAM

anytime any email asks you for any kind of personal information, it is a scam. never give out passwords, names, social security number, or any kind of information.

if it is important they will contact you by us mail. not by email. not by phone.

you are wise to have posted the question.
