Good Steven King book to read?
okay im a freshman in high school and i just finished reading the book "Cell" by steven king, i love the book and i want some advice on the next book to read. i loved it because of just the way he writes and the gruesome horror/suspense that makes you want to keep reading,
so if you guys have any suggestions on a book from him that would be great (i already have "Duma key" and haven't started reading yet but im planning to)
thanks in advance

Really, all his books are excellent horror/suspense stories. Duma Key is great, plus his older books are really creepy (Pet Semetary is excellent). Anything you read of his is a good choice. You also might look for stuff by his son, Joe Hill. He wrote Heart Shaped Box, it is really good and a lot like his father's suspense style. I have read all King's work and loved it all so have fun with them.

The Stand, hands down the best of King. Not his usual horror, but the horror of the human race. I've read it eight times.
I also like his story collection Night Shift, Christine, Salem's Lot, and Pet Cemetary. My stepson likes the Dark Tower books.

Hmm... well, the Dark Tower series isn't exactly horror, but it does have the suspense that keeps you going on and on and before you realize it, hours have passed and you're done reading the books.
Theres 7 books in total in the Dark Tower series, so you should be busy for a while if you decide to read it.

The Stand was good. The first 200 pages are slow, but after that the book is great.
The Shining
Carrie
Salem's Lot
Different Seasons, has four stories such as Shawshank Redemption, which is also a awesome movie.

Try "Desperation." It's a very good example of King's horror style. My favorite one of his novels is "The Stand," but it's more just a really, really good story than a true horror novel.
