Yamaha 200 EFI 200 TXRS Outboard?
I just purchased a Hurricane 1994 24 foot fun deck. Came with a Yamaha 200 hp EFI 200 TXRS outboard. Needs a water pump. I don't know a think about this engine. Any assistance and help would be appreciated. Believe this is original engine. What is EFI? What is TXRS. This is a salt water engine. Dock master said looks in great shape. I want to perform normal service before first voyage but don't know that to ask for w/o the mech bending me over. Thanks.

EFI= electronic fuel injection. Normal service every 100 hrs. The going cost for a service here in Texas is about 400 dollars. This includes plugs,fuel filter, lower unit oil and water pump. Hope that helps.

Just say you burnt out your old pump and ask them to put a new one. He is probably just going to use a repair kit ($40). Shouldn't be anymore then a couple hundred.
