2002 VOLKSWAGEN CABRIO TOP LEAK: How to find & fix it?

It was bought used, and has had some accidents per CARFAX, maybe this has something to do with it. I have been told by VW people these convertibles do NOT usually leak. I have had the top & seals checked, etc, but hose testing does not seem to recreate it. But nearly every time it rains, I get a wet front seat, on the forward corner towards the driver's door. Any help or suggestions will be appreciated!

    Keep hose testing until you find the leak !!!
