Lump in girlfriends vagina?
She called me today very worried about this "lump" that she had discovered, she told me some side effects and I did my best researching to try and find out what it was but I didn't find out to much so I'm hoping to find something here.
If it matters, we are sexually active, I have been checked for STDs as has she and we are clear.
She said that she had some white discharge that was somewhat thick, and her vagina near the top itches. She said she has a lump inside of her vagina just past the entrance somewhere on the wall, She says that it is very large about the size of a quarter so I didnt think it was a wart of some kind, could it just be yeast infection?
opinions please, thanks.

It sounds like a Bartholind's Cyst. Sometimes the Bartholind's glands that supply lubrication to the vagina will become blocked, this is especially true if she shaves in that area. She will need to make an appointment with an OBGYN and let them look at it to verify that's what it is and to make sure it doesn't need to be lanced and drained. Most of the time they will just tell patients to take Tylenol and sits baths in warm water and Epsom salt a couple of times a day to relieve some of the discomfort and help bring the cyst to a "head". 9 times out of 10 the cyst will drain on it's own.
I have experienced this once myself so let me give you some advice to pass on to her:
1) Do not touch or squeeze the cyst, she could cause an infection by spreading germs from her hands to that area.
2) No sexual contact until it's healed!!!!!!! This includes masturbation.
3) Carry a change of clothes with her b/c when it drains she'll need them!

Sounds like a yeast infection.. the lump could just be because of the irritated skin.
She should get a thrush treatment as soon as possible, otherwise it will become really uncomfortable. Go to your local chemist and get a treatment that has both a cream to sooth the itching and a little tablet to put inside to treat the infection.
Abstain from sex until she's better.. and if it doesn't get better after taking the thrush treatment, she needs to go see her doctor.

She should probably go have her doctor check it out as soon as possible, but until then she could use the symptom checker on webmd.com. It's really good and could probably give her a better idea of how serious the problem could be...

This is not the place to be. Go to a doctor for advice. This is your only option.
