Difference between haemorrhagic & Ischemic stroke on CT?

Any medical professionals out there who can give me a way to distinguish between haemorrhagic stroke and Ischaemic/thromboembolic stroke on CT scan?

Thanks

Blood appears white on a noncontrast CT which correlates with a hemorrhagic stroke. Ischemic stroke usually looks like a darkened area.

Hemorrhagic stoke-blood is visible in the brain in a ct without contrast

Ischemic stroke-"dead" areas of the brain can be seen on ct because thrombus has blocked a vessel an prevented blood flow to a given area. This type does not necessarily have any bleeding.

No Issue Jini(Halder?), will ask it to one of my Apollo Dr tomorrow and will inform you. By the way are you still attached to Peerless Hospital? Reply me on pratik.saha@yahoo.com
