How can i delete a customer out of Quickbooks?
It has no transactions or sub-items but still wont be deleted, it says I need to delete or move the sub-items first even though there isn't any. So then I tried to merge it with another project as I figured with no transactions it wouldn't matter, but it tells me it can't merge and it has a subname. I have no idea what a subname is or how to get rid of it. Please help, i don't want to make this customer inactive, but want to delete, so when i match with Billquick i wont have an unmatched customer floating around.

Check to see if that Customer's Project has any Activity.
If it does, delete the Activity(ies) or Transaction(s).
Then you should be able to delete the Project.
Then you can delete the Customer.
