How can i get my AVG Firewall to work?
I have AVG 8.5, and one day the firewall component needed updating and when i did so and restarted my computer, that component no longer existed in my AVG overview. According to my Windows Security Center, Windows Firewall is turned on and AVG Firewall is on "Snoozed" and the option to turn on AVG is not working. Should i worried? does it matter? can i change this back elsewhere?
No offense Eric, but Cnet editor's rated this version of AVG 5 out of 5 stars, and after buying it, i'm not up for switching quite yet. However i appreciate the response :)

Well, im not to familar with avg toubleshooting but I see this question on here alot.
I recommend you uninstall it and get a better protection program.
If you want something free I recommend avira antivir. http://avira.com/
BUT If you want something totally awesome and will make your pc work like new again get Norton 360. Its free for 90 days.

Yes you will have to disable one firewall any sure it is going to gradual down your PC. Windows firewall is simplest there for transitority defense till you get a brand new one its no longer so potent that is why if you happen to should not have an antivirus mounted home windows activates you to get one.
