Treatments for "bad" periods?
I am 38--and have BAD period. My tubes are tied and although unmarried I do not plan to have any more children. Problem is my cycles are the WORST I hate them and have tried many things over the years to make them better, the regular pill, Seasonique, and ultimately pain medicine. I'm currently taking Tramadol. Overall I'm tired and considering a hysterectomy. I have an appt with my Dr on the 13thto discuss my options--suggestions? feedback? PS I also suffer from PMDD and take prozac for that day 15-start of my cycle.

It depends on what is causing your "bad" periods. Are you bleeding excessively as well as having pain? Have you been checked for endometriosis or uterine fibroids? It would be a good idea to talk about these possibilities with your doctor. You may want to have some tests done to determine whether they are contributing factors. In both cases, there are treatments available that can help (besides having a hysterectomy, that is). I suffered from uterine fibroids AND undiagnosed endometriosis for 10 years. I had lots of pain and very heavy periods that left me feeling tired and anemic. I finally had a vaginal hysterectomy (left the ovaries in place). What a difference! In two weeks I felt like a new person! I don't know if the experience would be the same for you, but I was glad I did it and regretted not having it done sooner. By the way - it did not change my libido or ability to enjoy sex. So... talk to your doc first about tests and other available treatments. But, if you do decide to go through with a hysterectomy, don't be afraid to do it!

True. & just like Nas would never make an album up 2 Illmatic's level. Just like how Wilt Chamberlain never scored 100 pts. again. I think Jay is just trying 2 promote his album by saying its gonna be a mixture of RD & Blueprint which I think is Bullish. That's why I hate when people compare It Was Written 2 Nas' Illmatic. People saying Nas sold-out just becuase he had commercial hits on that album & it wasn't up 2 Illmatics potential. Over the years a person changes just like everyone else. Some rappers start off strong or some even end strong or in he middle they're on top. Again I'm not looking forward 2 Jay's American Gangster album becuase I think its gonna be whack. I think his time is up.But it's my opinion. Jay is one of my favorites but I think he's kind of whack now.
