When was the last time a Celtic player was dropped from the national squad for drinking to much, being a disgrace and having no self control.

After all the shiite that has been on here about Boruc recently do we need another 'your lot are no better than our lot' type 'of rubbing your nose in it' question. [Deep intake of breath] they are all Scottish players at the moment and all team mates so Caine please do not stoop to that level. This is not about Old Firm personalities they are Scottish team players and should know the effects alchohol has on their judgement, perception and ability, the effects of alchohol makes people more reckless. Anyway tonight they are playing 4-4-2 with Miller and Fletcher up front. So any argument about who is on the bench will not matter with those two up front Iceland will not win. By the way im sure it was Jimmy Johnston.
By the way Big Chief Boruc does not play for Scotland. People have been on here slating Boruc so don't preach stones and glass houses big chief, if you can give it please be gracious enough to take it.
Source(s): Big Chief you are just splitting hairs . Your answer proves you knew the question concerned the Scotland team. Muppet - ?Lv 61 decade ago
They're not the first and probably won't be the last Scotland players to break the rules and the club they play for is irrelevant - for this period they are Scotland players.
Alec - Willie Johnston was a West Brom player when he got sent home from Argentina

Artur Boruc, at the weekend.
People in glass houses should not throw stones. Are you not more concerned that McGeady is injured and can't play for your team, the Republic of Ireland ?
Not a fair question anyway, far more Rangers players get chosen for Scotland and always have done, because they are better.
Biatcho, the Q reads, "Who was the last Celtic player to be dropped from the national squad"......answer is, Artur Boruc at the weekend.
All right then......Frank McAvennie and Mo Johnston in Australia, 1985. Muppet.

Does it really matter, my god, everybody makes mistakes. People have to live with it and move on, jeez they were wrong, Boruc has been wrong who hasn't been wrong or done wrong at some point in their life. Just because it was 2 rangers players? I SUPPORT celtic and Scotland too, I cannot abide Ferguson but it has nothing to do with the fact that he plays for rangers I just don't like the man. McGregor is a top class keeper and I have nothing against him. So come on people, lets get behind our national team and leave all the tit for tat shyte!!

dunno they are all addicts though doesn`t usually matter what colour of strip they wear. no discipline of selves.unlike our oldtime heroes of the past who worked hard if they got drunk later after losing a game it never made the press as no one was half as interested george best was aye pished, for example, people seem obsessed nowadays by individuals drinking habits .
