This may sound like long-shot for you, but worth at least researching. Two diagnoses that are common if there is treatment resistant depression include either bipolar illness or ADHD....and both of these have very similar symptoms. Both of these diagnoses are capable of making a person very depressed. A good quiz for ADHD is located at: www,addresources.org look under the adult articles then print the adult checklist. ADHD typically can severely interfere with sleep, will destroy confidence, eliminate motivation to do anything and make people irritable, impatient and restless. At least look it up - it can't hurt.

My friend, I'm sorry to say that counsellors are often of little use. I spent every session crying, and felt WORSE afterwards. So here's my suggestion - something that has worked for me:

Find someone who is worse off than you - there's always someone in this world worse off. Help this person - whether financially, physically or emotionally. You will move into a different state of mind quite swiftly. Your problems will be less important suddenly. By taking the focus off YOU, you will start to breathe again. And - hopefully - your problems won't seem as drastic as you thought, and they will become solvable in time.

i would say to go and travel...go anywhere in the world you want to go and see what a beautiful world this really is even when it might not feel like it...maybe take a friend with you to help you forget and get over whatever you are going through....there is always a bright side...trust me i know...n things aren't as bad as they might always feel...travel and ENJOY LIFE!!!!!!

find the one thing you LOVE about yourself and build on it over indulge it, and surround yourself with POSITIVES leave the negatives alone. If they come around leave. Soon you should start to feel better. Love your one thing to death and other things will follow.
