Poll: Green tea or Chai tea?
My choice? Chai tea. I love the smell as well as the taste. It's exotic and healthy.
Edit:
Chai tea with 2% reduced fat milk, and honey! Yummy!

Health Benefits of honey:
In addition to its reputation as Nature's nutritive sweetener, research also indicates that honey's unique composition makes it useful as an antimicrobial agent and antioxidant.
Milk and honey are optional. There's no fast and hard rule that says that you "have" to use milk or honey.

I am a total tea purist. Green or black tea, never chai. Never ever. Chai is a sweet creamy beverage that has been adapated for the American market, where sweet creamy beverages are very popular. If they left the tea out, you wouldn't even notice.
Indians always put milk and sugar in their chai. ∠°)

I will go green honey. I also love the hibiscus tea. Now that is my kinda fragrance while I drink up. I will take two sugars and no milk. I got to try chai tea. What a darn shame.

As far as drinking green tea of chai tea (plain) for taste, chai tea beats green tea any day. Yumm! But as far as nutritional benefits, green tea is the way to go. I only drink chai tea occasionally as a treat. It is full of calories and sugar! Green tea is basically a cup of water, with antioxidants.

Green tea. I used to love Chai tea until I had it one time when I had the flu and now I can't even stand the smell of it.

A hot cup of warm chai tea is the best with milk and a touch of carmel, you have my mouth watering as I type this. And the great thing it also comes in sugar free, and I can buy it at my store and have it when ever I want it. Thanks I think I'll go have a cup now.
Source(s): Just to add on for those who think chai tea has a lot of calories. The brand Oregon Chai sugar free has 0 cal. Total fat 0g, Sodium 0g, total carbohydrates 1g, Dietary fiber 0g, Sugar 0g, Protein 0g. I gust got this off the box so it is true. - Anonymous1 decade ago
chai tea has more caffeine than green tea therefore less healthy.
both contain anti oxidants but green tea being purer as ONLY green tea and not containing other ingredients that are not anti oxidants, would be the more potent anti oxidant.(although i have never seen anyone actually quantify the amount of anti oxidant contained in a tea)
and about the honey, it's a simple sugar and not good for you.
remember to make you teas at 80'C and not straight from boil as you denaturise it to some extent.

Green Tea. It's healthier than chai and has a refreshing taste. Chai is to rich and milky for me.
