Windows Live OneCare asked me to uninstall avast?
is this normal? If so, can i reinstall Avast after OneCare is finished installing? Or is this one of those virus' enabling itself with every click into my computer?

It is normal for any antivirus to ask you to remove an antivirus that is installed on your PC because it may cause conflicts. The only AVs i know not asking you to remove existing antivirus are avast and Avira. You can reinstall avast after, but beware of the side effects of having two AVs running in background. Live Onecare itself is heavy, but tolerable if you have large amount of RAM installed.
